Balkan Connections Presents a Custom Tour Join in the fun for an unforgettable concert tour From the capital city (Sofia) through the beautiful Valley of the Thracian Kings, to the sunny beaches of the Black Sea and back, you will explore historical, ancient lands steeped in Old World charm and tradition, but now buzzing with new vitality and grand visions for the future. Singers and non-singers alike are welcome to join this unique tour. We will perform for enthusiastic audiences in joint concerts with “Gusla” all male choir in Sofia, the mixed choir “Plovdiv” choir in Plovdiv, the mixed choir “Seuthopolis” in Kazanluk and the award winning women’s choir “Kantilena” in Veliko Tarnovo. We expect your concerts will be well attended with standing room only. Along the way we will see historic monasteries and visit ancient tombs from the Neolithic era. We will explore the bustling cities of Sofia with its wonderfully preserved Roman ruins dating to the 4th century. We will shop in the old city of Nesebar with its 25 ancient churches, and sing in charming Veliko Tarnovo, the city that tumbles down a steep hill side, and where we will explore the now renovated 14th century walled city of Tsarevets. Discover a warm and friendly people anxious to meet Americans and pleased to share their rich heritage and aspirations for the future. The total tour cost (air and land) will be approximately $4,000 contingent on prevailing exchange rates. Double or Single Rooms in three star hotels will be offered.
